| History (cont) In 2005, STI introduced our interactive communications appliance, MediaLink, to address the specific requirements of a customer serving hospitals. What was requested was a two-way video conferencing system. What was required was an interactive solution that would address the unique acoustics problems of the hospital setting while solving the deployment problems inherent in large-scale industrial installations. It is one thing to install a video conferencing system that has a few fussy placement requirements into a single company conference room; it's quite another to try and drop such a system into a hospital room setting. Once again STI's attention to all the details has resulted in a complete solution and a very satisfied customer. | |
| ProConnections - From the beginning Surveillance Technology, Inc. has been evolving core technologies as well as addressing complete custom solutions. Government and military opportunities usually have requirements, deadlines, and “wrinkles” if you will that make them “unique solutions”. Conversely commercial opportunities often are “extensions”, or “modifications”, of work we have done in the past. ProConnections, a division of Surveillance Technology Inc., was formed in 2008 to address this fundamental difference in perspective. Created to specifically service the commercial sector, ProConnections will take our core technology offerings and provide solutions to commercial markets while STI will continue to focus on the government, military and “surveillance” markets. |
